CCTV systems all use a hard disk recorder in order to store
images. In order to achieve clear images the digital recorder
and camera quality is imperative. IP ( Internet Protocol ) HD
( High Definition ) and Thermal Imaging cameras are also
installed as the location, threats and budgets dictates.
There are two types of systems:
• Record Only
• Event Driven Systems
A record only system provides an archive of activity post
event, most systems can be networked and viewed over an
ADSL connection.
An event driven system is linked with an external motion
detection senor to catch an intruder before they break into a
site and cause any damage. Reporting systems are linked to
our inhouse control centre via ADSL and a dedicated team of
operators are trained to handle the incident and liase with
statutory bodies to ensure a conviction is secured with no
loss or damage to site.
Intruder Alarm Systems are broken down into down into
Hard Wired or Wireless Radio systems depending on the
location and requirements of the system. Intruder alarm
systems are Graded for Insurance purposes. The grade is
determined as a result of the site survey is undertaken. It
is recommended in most cases by Insurance Companies and
ACPO ( Association of Chief Police Offices ) intruder alarm
systems are most successful when the system is monitored
by an ARC ( Alarm Receiving Centre ) such as Shepherd Fire
& Security Ltd’s inhouse centre. All intruder Alarms systems
should be serviced every six months.
